I'm a senior Computer Science student at Duke University, currently based in Durham, North Carolina. My path into technology started far from where I am today — I come from Brazil's countryside, in a Quilombola community, where access to opportunities in tech was limited but curiosity was not.
I began my formal training through a technical degree in Information Technology at IFMS, which gave me early exposure to software fundamentals and confirmed my interest in building systems that solve real problems. That foundation eventually led me to Duke, where I'm a Karsh International Scholar pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and a minor in French.
At Duke, my interests sit at the intersection of software engineering, data systems, and applied AI. I enjoy working close to infrastructure and backend systems.
After an incredible summer internship opportunity, I'll be returning to Microsoft as a Software Engineer on the Bing Team, where I'm excited to work on products that operate at global scale and push the boundaries of how people interact with intelligent systems.
Outside of work, I enjoy weightlifting, team sports like soccer and volleyball, and exploring new places — whether that's a new city, a new gym, or a new problem to solve.
